The proposal is to fill in a portion of the flood plain in order to remove the dwelling from the land subject to coastal storm flowage.  The filings include a series of reviews from FEMA NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) along with the local review under the Wetland Protection Act and Wetlands Bylaw.

The intended result of this application is to eliminate the requirement for Flood Insurance by pushing the limits of the flood plain away from the building.
