The applications are for Surveyors. While the applications work through your internet browser, no data leaves your computer. These are applications that we wanted to create to expedite our Surveying efforts.
MergeNEZ - This merges two NEZ files together. Put the old one in first and the newer in second and it will export a file that removes the duplicates from the old file and inserts the points from the new file.
RW5 Renamer - This will load a RW5 file and list all of the points within it. You can then modify the point numbers and it will export a RW5 with the new point numbers and a list of all of the changes.
RW5 Renamer v2 - This will load a RW5 file and a NEZ file. It helps to renumber points in both files to align for SurvNet Projects. It also allows for description editting to remedy inconsitent descriptions.
Traverse Recoverer - Ever get an old coordinate list and corresponding working plan? This will help you to recreate a 2d RW5 file to use in a SurvNet Project. It cannot undo a previously adjusted traverse, so be sure to adjust your errors accordingly.
NavVis Control Converter - This will take a PNEZD comma delimited text file in Feet and output a PENZ file tab delimited text file in Meters.
Panorama Data Processor - This one is for ESE to incorporate panoramic images into our webmap. At this point, we are not ready to expand the service to others, but someday we will.
LISP - Weighted Average of 3d Polyline - This is the Chatham Building Height LSP to load into CAD to compute the weighted grade plane.
—- Stable above, Beta below - When the app works, it will be moved above the line.
RW5 Crawler - This app will go through a RW5 file and identify which lines are causing issues by deviating from the average of multiple shots. This works but needs some more functionality. Additional functionality will come with a new name for demo purposes. There are a few issues so it has been dropped below the line.
Future Dreams
Weighted Building Height.LSP - The Town of Chatham has a weird building height calculation with a few means to calculate the Grade Plane to determine Building Height. The most cumbersome is a Weighted Average of all the low points within 20’ of the building or at the property line. This will load into CAD and will return the weighted average of a 3d polyline created through all of the low points as described above. Cumbersome description for a cumbersome calculation.
Layer Script - This app will create script files for CAD that convert all entities from one set of layers to another set of layers.
Field to Finish - This app will help to revise the FLD files.
Photo Mapper - This app will place your photos on a map. It is intended to create GIS data for images of objects, say every catch basin in an area. Applications may increase to include water uses (mooring maps), obstacle reporting, land based issue reporting, who knows where it will go.
Project Tracker - something to track projects, orders, certificates, requirements.
Title Researcher - something to document titles - both conveyances and recorded permits. This would have a JSON interface on the user’s end that could be uploaded to ESE to include in a GIS.
